Why a Sleekbook ?

Why a Sleekbook ?
15-inch HP envy sleekbook is the latest edition to the most happening HP Envy series loaded with beats audio, decent graphics and best of all “great price”.

Why should I go for these ultrabooks or sleekbooks ?

Macbook air being the only thinnest laptop in the previous times and having some high tag price have made people deprived of carrying those thin style icons which stand out in the public and easy to carry as you go. 2012 is the year of Ultrabooks not only HP but many other companies like Sony, Dell, Toshiba and Acer are also coming up with their versions of Ultrabooks. Those bulky and not so stylish laptops are now from the “Past”.

What is the difference between ultrabook and sleekbook ?

Why a Sleekbook ?

Thin laptops powered by intel are called the ultrabooks as it is intel’s trademark the new Hp envy 6 is AMD powered that’s why it is called a sleekbook, although It is not as promising in the techy area with area with Hp envy 4 Ultrabook having intel ivy bridge CPU which is the identical twin of it but considering the “PRICE” .TheAMD model costs just $599, versus a minimum of $799 for the HP Envy 15-inch with the official ultrabook tag.
HP envy 6 sleekbook is the best looking midsize laptop to be ever available for 599USD but if you are shopping for Intel brand name or high power for gaming (or a high-res screen), this isn't for you, but for mainstream appeal at a budget price, it's a top contender.

Is it worth giving up the intel sticker to save some cash??

it's clear the A6 isn't as fast as Intel's mainstream Core i5 CPU, especially when it comes to multitasking. To be fair, AMD isn't claiming that it is a direct performance match. That said, you should think about what type of tasks you use a laptop for. If it's the same as the vast majority of users, that's surfing the Web, e-mail, social networking, and streaming online video that you would not be facing any problems. The fact is, most laptops are very overpowered, considering the relatively simple things we ask them to do.

How about battery backup?

AMD systems have traditionally not been as strong in this area as their Intel counterparts.
Considering the fact of AMD lacking in the Battery area this new breed of A-series CPUs seems to have made some improvements in this area. The HP Envy 6-1010us ran for 5 hours and 41 minutes on our video playback battery drain test, which is very impressive for a 15-inch midsize laptop.

The HP Envy 6-1010us is best described as a pleasant surprise. Would it be a great $899 laptop?
Not really, but for $599, it's a great midsize laptop for those willing to trade a little performance for some sharp looks.
